Ok, so I've been busy with work and home. Plus, given my low attention span, I'm thinking of changing some things around here. First and foremost, the name. "Vast Right-wing Conspiracy" is a bit too dated, a bit too obscure, and not insulting enough to the Liberal Intelligensia which I live to hate. ("Who's that?", you ask. Imagine your typical daily listener of NPR, you know, the kind of person who somehow has to quote Nina Totenberg, Terry Gross or Noah Adams at least once a day. Better yet, a Noam Chomsky or Mumia Abu-Jamal devotee. THEM!) Therefore, I think I may change the name willy-nilly as my mood strikes me. If I find one that I particularly enjoy, I may stick with it for a while, but for the most part, from here on out, the name is subject to change. (The address, of course, has to stay the same, duh.)

I really wish I could do the same with my children. From about the time he could talk, I've been calling my oldest boy, Nick, either "Spud" or "Gomez." No real reason, I just think a blond haired, green eyed 4-year old named "Gomez" is funny. It drives him crazy. "MY NAME ISN'T GOMEZ!!", he screams, and then giggles. Sam, my 2-year old, has alternately been "Turbo", "Sporto", "Homer" or "Captain Crappy Pants." Once again, no reason, just depends on my mood or the smell coming from his pants at the time. This site shall satisfy my whimsy in the same manner, damnit. In fact, I may change the name to suit the topic or rant for the day. We'll see, this may be fun. Stay tuned.

By the way, if the names I mentioned earlier don't mean a thing to you, don't feel bad. That is what the Liberal Intelligensia like to do, drop names that they think you should know to show how well rounded and well informed they are. Typical Liberal Douche-bag Behavior, or TLDB, as we like to say. I have a liberal friend who listens to NPR pretty much 24/7. She knows I tune in every now and again so she'll ask, "Did you hear so-and-so on NPR yesterday?" I always answer, "No, I'm not smart enough to listen to NPR." She skulks away time after time, you'd think she'd learn. TLDB.
