WOW! I am wickedly freaking out. I grew up in the South Chicago Suburbs. I watched a lot of local TV growing up. I just found it all.

I loved Ray Rayner! I watched him EVERY morning. I loved Garfield Goose! I would run home for lunch everyday in grade school and watch Bozo, then run back to school. Wow.

HA! Every day, Ray would do a live traffic report where he would read what the traffic was like (about an hour ago), and they would always show the same one or two stock footages, 30 seconds long, of "traffic" as he read it. Every day the same truck would go by the same sign with the same station wagon behind it, with the same guy walking across the same bridge. Day in, day out. It probably took me over 10 years to figure out that it wasn't really a "live" shot.
