"Senator" Jean Carnahan. Now here's a woman who has absolutely no place in any elected office. She was not elected. Her dead husband was, and it's a good thing, too. If her dead husband had lost, then John Ashcroft would have won and not been able to be our Attorney General. Ashcroft could have brought up the fact that the law states that only a person living in the state can be elected Senator, but he didn't. He took the high road and went on to bigger and better things. Thank God. In the meantime, Gov. Holden appoints the widow to the vacant Senator seat. A travesty, to be sure, but, at least we got an ass-kickin' Attorney General out of the scam. Now, "Senator" Jean is running against Jim Talent. Jean, honey, prepare to get your ass kicked back to the bake sale and quilt club where you belong. You have 16 months of psuedo-Senatorial experience compared to Jim's 16 YEARS of elected public office. To those that say there is no Liberal media bias, take a look at this from AP. Notice how "Senator" Jean gets the links to BIO, NEWS, VOTING RECORD while Jim Talent gets um, nothing. Notice how they mention Jim living in "affluent" St, Louis County, while Jean was raised in "working-class" Washington, MO, being the wife of a cattle farmer and caring for her elderly, diabetic father while spinning wool with her toes after her second night job was over for the small orphans they adopted and she nursed them until they were strong enough to walk to school 4 miles in the snow, barefoot. This was before her husband and son were tragically killed in a heart wrenchingly sad plane accident in "affluent" St. Louis County, the same night Jim Talent was having his 3 Bentleys waxed and detailed by poor city kids for .18 cents an hour as part of a work-release program he created to further oppress the poor. For the love of God, how much did she have to pay for this piece? I half-expected there to be a disclaimer at the end, "Paid for by Citizens to Elect Jean Carnahan Committee." No bias?
